Diffused Dome

Do you have an application requiring an all over even illumination especially where you need to remove shadows and reduce reflections on a shiny or polished surface? The MetaLight line of Diffuse Dome Light Illuminations provide an intense uniform light for inspecting objects with highly reflective, specular, round or uneven surfaces. Five standard sizes are available for inspecting different size objects.

Our illuminators are durable and precisely formed to optical specifications from hydro formed formed aircraft grade aluminum and then painted inside and out for durability and optical purposes. An 1-3 rows (depends on diameter) internal ring of LED's circles the perimeter and projects light up at various angles into the hemisphere which is covered in a 99% white surface.

This reflective dome of light results in a shadowless illuminator which is compact in size but big on output. According to optical engineers the dome light is arguably one the most perfect of lights available because it mimics the effects of outdoor sunlight on an overcast day. Our popular dome illuminators are available in IR, Red, White, blue, green and UV and operate in steady state or strobed mode with power requirements from 12-24VDC.
