Off axis ring lights have many uses. Sectional ring lights are made from standard off axis ring lights by electrically dividing our standard ring lights into halves or fourths. In other words sectionals give you the ability to cycle on or off one portion of the light at time.
These lights are special purpose illumination with independently controlled sections that offer control toggled these sections on or off to create special lighting effects. Sectional Ring Lights may be specified when you need to illuminate or capture one side of an object at a time but still need a single camera light source.
This is a helpful technique that can create selected contrast for variable features on parts with asymmetric geometry or in conjunction with particular camera manufacturers multiple image processing capabilities. Sections may also be specified with different color LED's for even more creative problem solving.
