Diffused Ring Light (dark field)

Dark field illumination provides high contrast lighting for detecting stress, defects, finger prints, edges, dust, and bubbles in transparent materials. This red Dark Field Light, Model DF201-R, has a 1.5" diameter aperture and a low profile of 3.2" x 3.2" x 1.5". When the Dark Field Light is placed behind a transparent object, intense light will appear at the edges and imperfections will be accentuated in a high-contrast manner.

The DF201-R can be operated in a continuous mode when used with the Metaphase SSI-40DC power supply, or a pulsed mode when used with the Metaphase SSI-103 LED strobe power supply. These Metaphase LED strobe power supplies allow operation up to 3600 parts per minute.

Application:

1. To reveal defects and scratches on glass or plastic rods
2. To inspect molded epoxy parts to uncover imperfections such as cracks, bubbles, and structural damage
